In continuous momentum with our ATALIAN Super Star Awards to celebrate the success stories of our employees, we recognised eight of our employees in the second quarter of this year.
For the ‘Best Cleaners’ Category, the awards were given out to Ms Norasikin Marican, Mr Qin Deying, Madam Valliammah d/o Kolanthai, Mr Tay Chai Chin and Ms Cheong Chum Chai, Jenny. And for the ‘Best Supervisors’ Category, the awards were bagged by Ms Salmiah Bte Junaidi, Mr Sandeep Singh and Ms Kamani Murugayah.
And among them is Madam Valliammah D/O Kolanthai, a petite and soft-spoken lady who has a warm personality that catches on quickly with everyone she meets. At 79, she is truly a veteran in the industry as she started out with housekeeping services at the age of 20. Since then, for over close to six decades, she has been gainfully employed in the cleaning industry. A grandmum to five, and a mother of two, Madam Valliammah has been with the ATALIAN Global Services Singapore for 20 years now. She works at one of the private residential properties, where her primary roles are ensuring that their green spaces are kept spic and span. Being around nature also gives her a great sense of satisfaction, she shared.
She further added in Tamil, “I enjoy my work at Cleaning Express so much that everyone has become family to me. I want to continue working here as long as I can. We are really cared for, here. One good example is that even our Senior General Manager, Mr Rahman Yusof, makes surprise visits to greet us and find out if we are coping well. All of these gestures keep us going.”
